Former Subway pitchman and convicted sex offender Jared Fogle was beaten in a bloody fight in the prison yard, according to a new report.
TMZ reports that documents show Fogle — who is serving a 15-year-sentence — was jumped by a 60-year-old inmate at the Englewood prison in Colorado. Steven Nigg reportedly pushed Fogle to the ground on Jan. 29 and then repeatedly punched him in the face, leaving him with a bloody nose and a swollen face.
Nigg, who only suffered a cut hand, was then sent to solitary confinement. His family told TMZ that he is upset with so many sex offenders being housed at the prison.
According to the New York Daily News, Nigg is serving time on weapons charges after previously serving time from 1976 to 1990 for a robbery conviction.
