There were a record nine hole-in-ones made at Wednesday’s Masters par three contest, but none more impressive than the one from 80-year-old Gary Player, who became the oldest player to ace a shot at the event.

Remarkably, the hole-in-one was the 31st for Player, who was grouped with Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson.

The other eight players to make an ace on Wednesday were Smylie Kaufman, Jimmy Walker, Zach Johnson, David Lingmerth, Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas, Andy Sullivan and Webb Simpson. The previous record for one contest was five.
