The third film in the “Maze Runner” series, “The Death Cure,” has been postponed indefinitely due to star Dylan O’Brien’s injuries from an on-set accident.

The “Teen Wolf” actor’s publicist told The Hollywood Reporter, “His injuries are very serious and he needs more time to recover.”

According to THR, O’Brien suffered a “concussion, facial fracture and lacerations” when he was unexpectedly pulled off a moving vehicle while performing a stunt on March 18.

Fox initially scheduled production to resume on May 9, but the cast and crew have been sent home. A new start date will depend on O’Brien’s recovery as well as when the cast and crew can be reassembled.

The film’s planned release date was February 17, 2017, but with the significant delays, it’s likely that date will be pushed back.
