“The Impossible” and “The Orphanage” director J.A. Bayona has signed on to helm “Jurassic World 2.”

The Barcelona, Spain native, who was initially in talks to direct another sequel, “World War Z 2,” will take over for “Jurassic World” director Colin Trevorrow, who has moved on to direct 2019’s “Star Wars: Episode IX.”

According to Variety, Trevorrow will still co-write the script and serve as co-executive producer alongside Steven Spielberg.

“Jurassic World 2” is set to come out June 22, 2018.
