Stop the press. It looks like football fans might be losing another icon after Super Bowl 50.

Sure, both Calvin Johnson and Peyton Manning are both said to be hanging up their cleats, but now reports are saying another man will be too — “The Most Interesting Man in the World.”

According to Deadline, after a 10-year advertisement campaign, Dos Equis beer has filmed their final installment for “The Most Interesting Man in the World.” The character played by actor Jonathan Goldsmith is rumored to be making his final appearance as the Dos Equis poster boy during a Super Bowl 50 commercial.

The character has become a household name and helped turned the beer company into the sixth largest imported beer.

Those involved in the campaign are remaining mum about the potential loss of the character.

A source at Radical Media, which shoots the ads, told Deadline, “I don’t know how much longer that campaign is going to go on.”

Over the years people have watched “The Most Interesting Man in the World” in several different scenarios, but it looks like his last involves being sent off to Mars.

We shouldn’t lose hope. Anyone who watched “The Martian” should know that if there’s a will there’s a way to survive and escape from the planet.
