The Cubs’ 2016 World Series odds took a blow Friday when the team announced slugger Kyle Schwarber will miss the remainder of the season after tearing both his ACL and LCL during a collision with centerfielder Dexter Fowler Thursday night.

A still shot of the crash shows the cringeworthy injury.

The left fielder had to be carted off the field following the collision.

Despite Chicago’s depth in the outfield thanks to the return of Fowler as well as the offseason acquisition of Jason Heyward, the Cubs will surely miss Schwarber’s bat, which accounted for 51 RBI in 78 regular and postseason games last year.
